Range Burner Not Working
A single burner that won't work usually has a bad surface element, a failed infinite switch, a dirty or cracked spark igniter, or a clogged burner head on gas ranges. If you smell gas at any time, turn the range off, ventilate and call the gas company before scheduling repair.
If you smell gas: do not operate switches or appliances, leave the home, and call your gas utility or 911 from outside before contacting us. If you see smoke, sparking, fire or a burning electrical smell: turn off the appliance at the breaker if you can do so safely, and call 911 if there is any flame. Do not touch exposed wiring. Turn the circuit off at the breaker and keep everyone away until a professional arrives.
